Saltscape and Chester Voluntary Action is running a volunteer fair at Northwich Memorial Court on Thursday 8th October from 2pm-5pm.
A huge range of organisations will be attending to explain more about how volunteers can help improve the local landscape and environment or support people living in our community. Opportunities will range from hands-on practical work restoring wildlife habitats with Saltscape, to supporting carers or people with Alzheimers.
Sarah Perry from Saltscape said, “Volunteering is a fantastic way to be a part of your community, to meet new people and learn new skills, all whilst helping others in your local area. Our Volunteer Fair will show people there is an array of ways in which you van volunteer to make your area a better place to live and work, and to bring communities and people together.”
Clare Harrison from Chester Voluntary Action said, “CVA’s dedicated Volunteer Centre signposted over 1300 people last year into various volunteering opportunities throughout the area, proof that volunteering is very much a way of life in Cheshire West and Chester therefore, we are keen to recruit even more volunteers.”
